Report of the Secretary-General on Ethiopia and Eritrea

Provides an update on developments in the peace process since the report of 16 Dec. 2004 (S/2004/973) and describes the activities of the UN Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea (UNMEE), the current mandate of which expires on 15 Mar. 2005. Includes sections on: i) status of the Temporary Security Zone and adjacent areas, and cooperation with the parties; ii) Eritrea-Ethiopia Boundary Commission; iii) mine action; iv) humanitarian developments; v) and human rights; vi) public information; vii) sexual exploitation and abuse; viii) financial aspects; and ix) observations. Included annexes are: i) "Eritrea-Ethiopia Boundary Commission: 16th report on the work of the Commission"; and ii) a table showing UNMEE: contributions as at 9 Feb. 2005. DAA
