Summary
The WSIS stocktaking was launched by the WSIS Executive Secretariat in Oct. 2004 with the dual purpose of providing an inventory of activities undertaken by Governments and stakeholders in implementing the WSIS Declaration of Principles and Plan of Action adopted in 2003, and of taking stock of the progress made in building the information society.
