Decides to establish an Ad Hoc Committee of the Whole for the Preparation of the International Development Strategy for the 4th UN Development Decade; invites the Committee for Development Planning to continue its activities related to the preparation of the strategy in support of the work and consideration of the Ad Hoc Committee; invites UNCTAD, the regional commissions and other organizations and specialized agencies of the UN system to include in their agendas, during 1989, items regarding their contributions to the preparation of the strategy.
