Summary
Calls upon the Commission on Human Rights to adopt a resolution urging Governments to work cooperatively with indigenous peoples towards the adoption of a strong and effective Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and to continue the standard-setting process in a manner that involves the full participation of indigenous peoples, that builds on the original draft text and progress made to date within the Working Group, and that sets a realistic process and timetable for the adoption of the Declaration.
