Summary
Requests the Institute, in accordance with its mandate, to actively participate in and contribute to the review and appraisal of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome document of the 23rd special session of the General Assembly in the context of the 49th session of the Commission on the Status of Women; urges Member States to make voluntary contributions to the Trust Fund, particularly during this critical transitional period; decides to provide its full support to the current efforts to revitalize the Institute and, in this regard, to ensure that the Institute will be able to continue functioning for a period of at least one year.
