Summary
Requests the Secretary-General of the UN to continue exploring, with the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, possibly by arranging a meeting of representatives of the 2 organizations in the light of the outcome of the 3rd Summit of the Council of Europe, possibilities for further enhancement of cooperation between the organizations; decides to include in the provisional agenda of its 61st session the sub-item entitled "Cooperation between the United Nations and the Council of Europe", and requests the Secretary-General to submit to the General Assembly at its 61st session a report on cooperation between the UN and the Council of Europe in general and, in particular, the results of the efforts referred to in paragraph 3 above to explore possibilities for further cooperation between the 2 organizations.
