Reaffirms its previous resolutions and statements of its President on situation in Somalia; reiterates its commitment to a comprehensive and lasting settlement of situation in Somalia; commends the recent progress made at Somali national reconciliation conference in Nairobi; looks forward to formation in the near future of Transitional Federal Government; encourages Transitional Federal Parliament and the President to make further steps to select a Prime Minister and efficient and effective Cabinet and to develop preliminary programme of action and timetable for transitional period; commends countries and international organizations for supporting and assisting Somali reconciliation process; shares the Secretary-General's view of expanded peace-building role and presence for the UN in Somalia; urges Somali leaders to create favourable environment for future Transitional Federal Government.
