Summary
Reiterates the importance of maintaining the momentum in consolidating the peace process, calls on donor countries to follow up on the Forum of Development Partners, held in Brussels, 13-14 Jan. 2004 and encourages disbursement of funds announced during that meeting; requests the Ad Hoc Advisory Group to continue to follow closely the humanitarian situation and economic and social conditions, to examine the transition from relief to development in Burundi and the way in which the international community supports the process and to report to the Economic and Social Council at its organizational session in 2005; requests the Secretary-General, the UN Development Group, the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Secretariat and other relevant UN bodies to continue to assist the Ad Hoc Advisory Group in accomplishing its mandate, and invites the Bretton Woods institutions to continue to cooperate to that end.
