Summary
Decides to establish under its authority a UN Angola Verification Mission (UNAVEM) and requests the Secretary-General to take the necessary steps to this effect in accordance with his aforementioned report; further decides that UNAVEM shall be established for a period of 31 months; decides also that the arrangements for the establishment of UNAVEM shall enter into force as soon as the tripartite agreement between the People's Republic of Angola, the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of South Africa on the one hand, and the bilateral agreement between the People's Republic of Angola and the Republic of Cuba on the other, are signed.
