Covers the period since the previous report of 29 Apr. 2004 (S/2004/333) and reviews the activities of the UN Mission of Support in East Timor (UNMISET), particularly in following areas: Programme 1) support for the public administration and justice system of Timor-Leste and for justice in the area of serious crimes; Programme 2) support to the development of law enforcement in Timor-Leste; and Programme 3) support for the security and stability of Timor-Leste. Also reports on role of the UN system and political developments in Timor-Leste. Includes i) a table on UNMISET civilian police and military strength as at 31 July 2004; ii) a chart on UNMISET comparison of strength;and iii) a map on UNMISET deployment as of Aug. 2004. DAA
