Summary
Requests the Advisory Group on Burundi to continue to follow closely the humanitarian situation and economic and social conditions, to examine the transition from relief to development in Burundi and the way in which the international community supports the process and to report, as appropriate, to the Economic and Social Council at its substantive session in July 2004; decides that the Advisory Group should contribute to the assessment of the ad hoc advisory groups in relation to lessons learned during the application of its mandate and the implementation of its recommendations; also decides that the Group shall invite the participation in its work of the President of the Economic and Social Council for 2004 and the Chairperson of the Ad Hoc Working Group of the Security Council on Conflict Prevention and Resolution in Africa; requests the Secretary-General, the UN Development Group, as well as other relevant UN funds and programmes and the specialized agencies to continue to assist the Advisory Group in accomplishing its mandate, and invites the Bretton Woods institutions to continue to cooperate to that end.
