Reviews activities of the Special Rapporteur in 2003, and new national, regional and international developments; identifies trends in the illicit traffic and dumping of toxic and dangerous products and wastes, such as the export of electronic waste to developing countries for "recycling", the export of obsolete ships for dismantling in developing countries, and export of pesticides to developing countries; analyzes basic principles applying to transnational corporations in the area of the Special Rapporteur's mandate; considers the human rights impact of recent cases; closes with conclusions and recommendations.
