Summary
Refers to Security Council resolution 1315 (2000) on establishment of a Special Court for Sierra Leone to prosecute persons who bear the greatest responsibility for the commission of crimes against humanity, war crimes and other serious violations of international humanitarian law committed within the territory of Sierra Leone and proposes that all or part of the budget shortfall of the 3rd year costs of the Court to be provided by assessment while preserving the independent nature of the Court; proposes also to bring the matter to the attention of the General Assembly with a view to seeking appropriation of funds.
