Note [transmitting the 16th quarterly report on the activities of the UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission, in accordance with para. 12 of Security Council resolution 1284 (1999)]

Reports on the activities of the UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC) for the period 1 Dec. 2003-29 Feb. 2004. Includes sections on developments and other activities of UNMOVIC; databases, archive and information technology; field offices in Larnaca, Baghdad, and Bahrain; staffing and training; technical visits and participation in outside meetings and workshops; and College of Commissioners. Included appendices are i) summary of Iraq's chemical and biological munitions; ii) UNMOVIC network of laboratories; iii) chronology of the destruction, removal or rendering harmless of items and materials by Iraq under the supervision of the Special Commission/UNMOVIC in accordance with Security Council resolution 687 (1991); and iv) major proscribed items and materials declared by Iraq as having been destroyed by the coalition during the 1991 Gulf war and unilaterally by Iraq in 1991.
