Informs that the Economic and Social Council recommended in its resolution 2003/45 that the General Assembly declare 2007 the UN Year for Violence Prevention, as recommended in Commission on Human Rights resolution 2003/28; and informs about replies to a communication sent to Governments, non-governmental organizations and UN bodies, programmes and specialized agencies on possible measures to be taken and activities to be carried out during such a Year.
