Summary
Requests the Secretary-General: a) to conduct an in-depth study on all forms and manifestations of violence against women disaggregated by type of violence, and based on research undertaken and data collected at the national, regional and international levels; b) to cooperate closely with all relevant UN bodies, as well as with the Special Rapporteur on violence against women, when preparing the study; c) to solicit information from Member States and relevant NGOs in the preparation of the study; d) to make the study available to all Member States and observers and to submit a report with the study as an annex, to the General Assembly at its 60th session; e) to submit a progress report on the study to the 59th session of the General Assembly.
