Summary
Urges all Governments to promote the development of comprehensive, participatory and sustainable national strategies for human rights education; also urges all Governments to intensify their efforts to contribute to the implementation of the Plan of Action for the UN Decade for Human Rights Education, 1995-2004; urges the Department of Public Information of the Secretariat to continue to utilize UN information centres for the timely dissemination of basic information, reference and audio-visual materials on human rights and fundamental freedoms; decides to dedicate a plenary meeting during the 59th session of the General Assembly on the occasion of Human Rights Day, 10 Dec. 2004.
