Highlights steps taken or envisaged in implementing the recommendations of the Security Council Mission to West Africa concerning Guinea-Bissau, Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia and Sierra Leone; provides also a preliminary assessment of practical ways of addressing cross-border issues identified by the Council's Mission; includes observations on the significant progress achieved in implementing the recommendations of the Mission concerning Sierra Leone and Liberia and in the case of Guinea-Bissau and Côte d'Ivoire, the steps necessary to achieve sustainable peace and stability.
