Reports armed incident which occurred in Katchele, a village situated north-west of Bunia, Ituri district, on 6 Oct. 2003; states that according to the UN Organization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUC), 23 civilians were killed while local sources are reporting the alleged murder of 32 other persons, buried in mass graves before the arrivial of UN investigators; urgently requests the Security Council to send reinforcements to MONUC in the Ituri district to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident and to address the prevailing issue of impunity.
