Summary
Sets out the composition of the Mission, provides an account of its activities and presents findings. Recommends that the Security Council be prepared to pledge its full support to the transitional Government to be established in the Democratic Republic of the Congo by 30 June 2003, and that the Council increase pressure on the parties, both in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and throughout the region, to ensure that the necessary guarantees are provided to the UN Observer Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to permit its verification activities. Also recommends that the Council assist Burundi putting an end to impunity in Burundi and that it consider carefully the Government's request for the establishment of the international judicial commission of inquiry as provided for in the Arusha Agreement.
