Refers to communiqué of the 91st ordinary sess. of the Central Organ of the Mechanism for Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolutions (S/2003/399) regarding preparations for the deployment of the African Mission in Burundi; concerns implication that the African Mission will be replaced by a UN peacekeeping mission and states that the Central Organ is counting on the Security Council for mobilization of financial and logistical support for the African Mission.
