Refers to letter of 8 Oct. 2002 from Argentina (A/57/461), in which the Government reiterated its rejection of the "White Paper on Partnership for Progress and Prosperity: Britain and the Overseas Territories" mentioned in General Assembly resolution 56/72; rejects the above letter and states the sovereignty of the United Kingdom over the Falkland Islands (Malvinas), South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands and the surrounding maritime areas; states also that the nomenclature applied to Overseas Territories, which was confirmed with the Parliamentary enactment of the British Overseas Territories Act, 2002 does not alter the status of those territories.
