Summary
Affirms that Human Development Report is a separate and distinct exercise which is not an official document of the UN; reaffirms Executive Board of UNDP decision 94/15, by which it welcomed decision of the Administrator to improve the process of consultation with Member States and other relevant bodies to refine the methodologies used in the Human Development Report with a view to improving its quality and accuracy without compromising its editorial independence; also reaffirms that preparation of Human Development Report should be undertaken in neutral and transparent manner and in full and effective consultation with Member States; requests the Secretary-General to ensure that the implementation of the present resolution is reported to the General Assembly at its 58th session.
