Refers to statement by the President of the Security Council dated 19 Dec. 2001 (S/PRST/2001/39) and to his letter dated 12 July 2002 (S/2002/763) and transmits final report of the UN Expert Panel on the Illegal Exploitation of Natural Resources and Other Forms of Wealth of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Comprises an evaluation of the situation on the ground and the Panel's observations. Annexes include: list of companies on which the Panel recommends the placing of financial restrictions; list of persons for whom the Panel recommends a travel ban and financial restrictions; list of business enterprises considered by the Panel to be in violations of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises; and list of countries visited and representatives of Governments and organizations interviewed.
