TitleReport of the Committee for Development Policy
Requests the Committee to continue its work on the re-examination of its recommendation to graduate Maldives from the list of least developed countries at its 5th session and to submit its recommendations to the Economic and Social Council at its substantive session of 2003; urges the international organizations, bilateral donors and graduating or near graduating countries to continue the debate concerning the treatment of graduating countries; reiterates the importance of consulting with relevant Member States in the preparation and use of country vulnerability profiles; requests the Committee to continue its work on the methodology to be used for the identification of the least developed countries; also requests the Committee, at its 5th session, to examine and make recommendations regarding the theme chosen for the high-level segment of the substantive session of 2003 of the Council.
