Summary
Reaffirms that the specialized agencies and other organizations and institutions of the UN system should continue to be guided by the relevant resolutions of the UN in their efforts to contribute to the implementation of the Declaration and all other relevant General Assembly resolutions; requests the specialized agencies and other organizations of the UN system and international and regional organizations to examine and review conditions in each Territory so as to take appropriate measures to accelerate progress in the economic and social sectors of the Territories; requests the President of the Council to continue to maintain close contact on these matters with the Chairman of the Special Committee, and to report thereon to the Council; requests the Secretary-General to follow the implementation of the present resolution, paying particular attention to cooperation and integration arrangements for maximizing the efficiency of the assistance activities undertaken by various organizations of the UN system, and to report thereon to the Council at its substantive session of 2003.
