Summary
Reports that on 20 June 2002 the chief of the village of Babindi in the Ubundu area southeast of Kisangani was murdered together with his 6 children, allegedly by troops of the 7th Brigade of the Rassemblement congolais pour la démocratie (RCD/GOMA); calls upon the Security Council to condemn these violations of human rights by RCD/GOMA, to demand that RCD/GOMA should bring the persons responsible for these crimes before the courts and to demand immediate demilitarization of Kisnagani and its environs.
