Résumé
Transmits letter of 25 June 2002 from Aytug Plümer of the Turkish Cypriot community referring to the letter from Cyprus (A/56-966-S/2002/587) concerning the recent visit of the Turkish oceanographic research vessel "Piri Reis" to Cyprus and states that the protestation by the representative of Cyprus to the UN is totally unwarranted and misleading, as it emanates from the Greek Cypriot's side's claim to be the sole sovereign authority over the whole island.
