Refers to letter of 16 May 2002 from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (S/2002/548) concerning clashes between the Rwandan Patriotic Army and the troops of the Rassemblement congolais pour la démocratie (RCD-Goma) on 14 May 2002 in Kisangani and reports the alleged incidents of massacres, arrests and summary executions by the Rwandan Patriotic Army in Kisangani of civilians, RCD-Goma officers and police officers; calls upon the Security Council to dispatch a commission of inquiry to Kisangani and to secure the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Rwanda from entire territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
