Reports that the Kuala Lumpur High Court had dismissed the remaining civil suits against Dato' Param Cumaraswamy on 7 July 2001 in accordance with the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice of 29 Apr. 1999; states that in accordance with the advisory opinion, the UN is of the view that the legal expenses imposed on Dato' Param Cumaraswamy is the responsibility of the Government of Malaysia and that the Government should reimburse the UN in the amount of US$118, 145.91.
