Submitted pursuant to Security Council resolution 1392 (2002) of 21 Jan. 2002. Reviews the activities of UNTAET since report of 17 Jan. 2002 (S/2002/80 + Corr. 1). Assesses the progress made in the implementation of UNTAET's mandate; includes detailed mandate and structure for the would be established United Nations Mission of Support in East Timor (UNMISET), the successor mission to UNTAET; welcomes the initiation of bilateral and trilateral discussions between East Timor, Indonesia and Australia and recommends that the Security Council authorize the establishment of UNMISET for an initial period of 12 months.
