Summary
Notes that due to the late appointment of Iulia Antoanella Motoc as Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on 28 Nov. 2001, following the resignation of Roberto Garretón in Nov. 2001, she will not be able to make a full report to the Commission at its present session, but plans to make an oral presentation upon completion of her first mission to the Democratic Republic of the Congo scheduled for Feb. 2002.
