Summary
Endorses the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions; requests the Secretary-General to submit detailed information on the proposal to separate the management of commercial activites from other UN activities and to elaborate a blueprint concerning specific commercial goals of the Organization and the steps that should be taken to achieve them, in particular outsourcing and the optimum use of space within the UN buildings; further requests the Secretary-General to make proposals to streamline and simplify the administration and management structure underpinning those activities and to submit a single report for consideration by the General Assembly at its 57th session.
