Integrated and coordinated implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of the major United Nations conferences and summits
Summary
Recommends that the General Assembly examine how best to address the reviews of the implementation of the outcomes of the major UN conferences and summits of the 1990s, including their format and periodicity; decides to strengthen the links with relevant functional commissions and other relevant bodies of the UN system, including regional commissions, in follow-up to conferences and summits; encourages the participation of all relevant stakeholders, including the private sector; requests the Secretary-General to submit a report to the Council at its substantive session of 2002 on the implementation of the present resolution, ensuring full integration between the review and follow-up processes of the Millennium Summit and of other conferences and summits.
