Summary
Prepared pursuant to paragraph 18 of General Assembly resolution 55/162, the report addresses the goals and commitments contained in the Millennium Declaration. For each goal, it discusses major developments, shares information on "best practices" and presents strategies for moving forward. The report concludes by noting that there will be annual reports, and every 5 years, a comprehensive progress report. An annex sets out the goals in tabular form, pinpointing 18 specific targets and 40 selected indicators for development. DAA
