Decides that the duration of the 34th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, in 1990, shall be 10 days; decides that the Commission should review preparations for the 1990 review and appraisal at its 33rd session; requests the 5 regional commissions to hold regional review and appraisal meetings in preparation for the global review and appraisal; recommends that in 1990 the Commission make a recommendation to the General Assembly on the convening of a world conference to review and appraise progress in the implementation of the Forward-looking Strategies.
