Summary
Decides that the Sub-Commission on Illicit Drug Traffic and Related Matters in the Near and Middle East shall continue to meet annually at a capital in the region, whenever possible, and at the UN Office at Vienna prior to regular or special sessions of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs; authorizes the enlargement of the Sub-Commission; endorses the membership of Egypt, India and Jordan in the Sub-Commission; requests the Secretary-General, at his discretion, to invite States outside the region that request observer status and that are actively involved in countering the illicit drug traffic in, through or from the region to send observers to the meetings of the Sub-Commission, on the understanding that the expenses would be borne by the States concerned.
