Report of the Secretary-General on the activities of the Office of Internal Oversight Services : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Requests the Secretary-General to ensure that future reports of the Office of Internal Oversight Services are in accordance with the provisions of General Assembly resolutions 48/218 B of 29 July 1994 and 54/244 of 23 Dec. 1999 and the relevant provisions of the Charter of the UN and the rules of procedure of the General Assembly; decides to defer until its 56th session consideration of the updated version of the report of the Secretary-General on enhancing the internal oversight mechanisms in operational funds and programmes, and requests the Secretary-General to seek updated views from the funds and programmes on this report and to transmit them to the General Assembly during the main part of its 56th session; also decides to defer until its 56th session consideration of the 6th annual report of the Office of Internal Oversight Services, covering activities for the period from 1 July 1999-30 June 2000.
