Refers to press briefings of 3 Apr. 2001 by the Secretary-General's spokesman and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) regarding the assistance to the Afghan refugees and states that the UN agencies have not taken any step to establish camps and mobilize relief efforts inside Afghanistan to prevent further influx of refugees into Pakistan; states also that Pakistan cannot allow UNHCR to register refugees at Jalozai camp without the provision of relief inside Afghanistan as such registration would induce Afghans to move to Pakistan.
