Summary
Seminar convened in accordance with Commission on Human Rights resolution 2000/12 to consider the need to develop a draft declaration on extreme poverty and, if appropriate, to identify its specific points; concludes that new guiding principles are needed which would explicitly address the phenomenon of extreme poverty, clarify definitional issues and set forth relevant policy guidelines.
