Financing of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Urges Member States to make every effort to ensure payment of their assessed contributions to the Mission in full and on time; endorses the conclusions and recommendations contained in the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (A/55/624); requests the Secretary-General to take all necessary action to ensure that the Mission is administered with maximum of efficiency and economy; decides to appropriate the amount of US$450 million gross for the maintenance of the Mission for the period 1 July 2000-30 June 2001, inclusive of the amount of $220 million gross authorized by General Assembly resolution 54/245B; decides also, as an ad hoc arrangement, to apportion the additional $230 million for the period 1 July-31 Dec. 2000 among Members States in accordance with the composition of groups and taking into account the scale of assessment for the year 2001; decides further that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of the estimated additional staff assessment income of $15,353,900 approved for the Mission for the period 1 Jan.-30 June 2001.
