Towards global partnerships : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Stresses the need for Member States further to discuss partnerships and consider, in appropriate intergovernmental consultations, ways and means to enhance cooperation between the UN and all relevant partners, inter alia, from the developing countries, to give them greater opportunities to contribute to the realization of the goals and programmes of the Organization; requests the Secretary-General in this regard to seek the views of all Member States on ways and means to enhance cooperation between the UN and all relevant partners, in particular the private sector; requests the Secretary-General to submit a comprehensive report on this matter, containing a compilation of views of Member States, views of other relevant partners, and his recommendations in this regard, for consideration by the General Assembly at its 56th session.
