Takes note of the finding of the working group of experts that there is a need to provide adequate assistance to initiatives in the area of victim care; requests the Secretary-General to prepare a report on possible ways and means of providing such assistance; calls upon the Secretary-General, Member States and relevant organizations to continue to take the necessary steps to give effect to the provisions of the Declaration of Basic Principles of Justice for Victims of Crime and Abuse of Power.
