Summary
Affirms the solemn commitment of all States to enhance international cooperation in the field of human rights and in the solution to international problems of a humanitarian character in full compliance with the Charter of UN; stresses the vital role of the work of UN in promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms without distinction as to race, sex, language or religion; calls upon all States to cooperate fully, through constructive dialogue, in order to ensure the promotion and protection of all human rights for all and in promoting peaceful solutions to international problems of a humanitarian character; requests the Secretary-General to bring the present resolution to the attention of Member States, organs, bodies and other components of the UN system, and intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations and to disseminate it on the widest possible basis.
