Informs the Secretary-General that the members of the Security Council have taken note of the intention and the proposal contained in his letter of 31 July 2000 (S/2000/796) on the composition of an expert panel on the illegal exploitation of natural resources and other forms of wealth of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
