Financing of the UN Transitional Administration in East Timor

Endorses the conclusions and recommendations contained in the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (A/54/875); authorizes the Secretary-General to enter into commitments in an amount not exceeding US$292,069,000 for the operation of the Transitional Administration for the period 1 July-31 Dec. 2000; decides, as an ad hoc arrangement, to apportion the amount of $200 million gross for the period 1 July-31 Dec. 2000 among Member States; decides also that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of the estimated staff assessment income of $5,738,700 approved for the Transitional Administration for the period 1 July-December 2000.
