Transmits communiqué issued by the current Chairman of the OAU concerning the visit of an OAU delegation to Eritrea and Ethiopia; reports that the 2 parties responded favorably to the 2 points appeal of the current Chairman of the OAU, namely, the cessation of fighting and the resumption of the Proximity Talks; Ethiopia stated, however, that fighting could not stop before the restoration of the territorial status quo prevailing at 6 May 1998.
