Transmits statement of 5 May 2000 by the Presidency of the European Union on behalf of the European Union strongly condemning actions taken by the Revolutionary United Front of Sierra Leone (RUF) in direct violation of the Lomé Peace Agreement and expressing that it is deeply disturbed by reports of the killing of UN Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) personnel; calls on the RUF, especially its leader, Foday Sankoh, to cease all attacks against UNAMSIL, to release all detainees safely, and to implement fully their commitments under the Lomé Peace Agreement.
