Reports of the Joint Inspection Unit

Endorses the recommendations of the Unit contained in its report entitled "The United Nations system common services at Geneva; stresses that pursuit of common services at Geneva should be one of many tools available to organizations and managers to obtain goods and services in the most efficient and effective manner; invites the Unit to continue to examine common services at other duty stations; stresses the importance for the Unit of using the most recent data available in its reports and calls upon the Secretary-General, in coordination with the Unit, to ensure the timely issuance of the reports of the Unit and the related comments of the Secretary-General and the Administrative Committee on Coordination, in order to enable the General Assembly and all the governing bodies to take prompt action thereon.
