Summary
Endorses the observations and recommendations contained in the reports of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (A/54/490 and A/54/647); decides to continue to use the Special Account established in accordance with General Assembly resolution 53/29 for the Observer Mission, for UNAMSIL beginning 22 Oct. 1999; decides also to appropriate the amount of US$200 million gross for the maintenance and provisional expansion of the Observer Mission and the establishment and maintenance of UNAMSIL for the period 1 July 1999-30 June 2000; decides further, as an ad hoc arrangement, to apportion the amount of $161,666,667 gross for the Observer Mission and UNAMSIL for the period 1 July 1999-21 Apr. 2000; decides that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States, as provided for in paragraph 15 above, their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of the estimated staff assessment income of $1,806,544 approved for the Observer Mission and UNAMSIL for the period 1 July 1999-21 Apr. 2000; decides also, as an ad hoc arrangement, to apportion the amount of $38,333,333 gross among Member States for the period 22 Apr.-30 June 2000 for the maintenance of UNAMSIL at a monthly rate of $16,666,667 gross; decides further that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States, as provided for in paragraph 17 above, their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of the estimated staff assessment income of $428,356 approved for UNAMSIL for the period 22 Apr.-30 June 2000.
